Introducing The Mary Anne, a newly renovated boutique hotel in downtown St. Thomas, just steps from the iconic Blackbeard’s Castle. This intimate six-room property blends modern comforts with Caribbean character, offering a relaxed yet refined place to stay.

Each guest room is thoughtfully appointed with a mini refrigerator and Nespresso machine, while a fully stocked shared kitchen allows guests to settle in and feel at home. Throughout the property, guests can enjoy peaceful shared spaces, harbor views, and an elevated rooftop pool designed for unwinding above the historic town.

With shops, restaurants, and the waterfront within walking distance, The Mary Anne offers a prime base for exploring the history and culture of St. Thomas while enjoying a calm, boutique retreat.

A Tribute to Female Pirates

The Mary Anne is named in honor of two of history’s most legendary pirates, Mary Read and Anne Bonny, whose stories are deeply woven into Caribbean lore. Nestled beside Blackbeard’s Castle, the hotel pays tribute to the bold spirit, independence, and resilience these women embodied.

Today, their legacy continues through the character of The Mary Anne—an intimate, thoughtfully designed space that celebrates strength, individuality, and a sense of adventure. Whether you’re drawn by history or simply seeking a stay with meaning and character, The Mary Anne offers a unique connection to the stories that shaped St. Thomas and the surrounding Caribbean.

The Mary Anne is proud to support the people, history, and causes that make St. Thomas special.

One of our favorite furry “team members,” Frankie, was adopted through the Humane Society of St. Thomas — a cause close to our hearts as animal lovers.

We also support preservation efforts like the Step Street Project, which works to protect the island’s historic step streets, including the iconic 99 Steps located just above our property.
