Worth the detour
Two more spots we love that sit a little beyond the main loop — easy add-ons if you have the time.
All Saints Cathedral Church
A handsome stone Gothic-revival cathedral up Garden Street, consecrated in 1848 — one of the oldest Anglican congregations in the Virgin Islands, cool and quiet inside. About a 6-minute uphill walk from the synagogue.
Walking directions ↗Market Square
Once one of the largest slave markets in the Caribbean, today a covered produce market full of local color, spice, and conversation. A sobering, essential piece of the island's story, about 8 minutes west of Main Street.

Staying at The Mary Anne puts you at the top of this hill, steps from the 99 Steps and Blackbeard’s Castle — and gives you the run of the castle’s amenities next door.
