For weddings and celebrations that deserve complete privacy, The Mary Anne can be reserved in full. A property buyout includes all 6 rooms, the private rooftop pool, game lawn, full kitchen, and a dedicated on-site host for up to 15 guests.
Planning Your St. Thomas Wedding — What You Need to Know
What are the steps to get legally married in St. Thomas, USVI?
The USVI Superior Court allows you to file your marriage license application online. Here’s the process:
- Go to the marriage license application page on the USVI Superior Court website.
- Scroll past the application instructions and click “E-filing” on the bottom right of the page.
- Select “Become an E-filer Today.”
- Have both of your information ready, including social security numbers, divorce decrees or death certificates (if previously wed), and a credit card.
- Fill out and submit the required forms.
- Wait about a week, then email family-stt@vicourts.org and let them know you’d like to skip the courthouse and have your documents emailed directly.
- Get married by your officiant and ask them to take the signed marriage license to the Virgin Islands Superior Court. Your certified copies will be mailed to you.
The marriage license fee is $200 paid directly to the USVI.
Do we need passports to come to St. Thomas from the United States?
Passports are not required for U.S. citizens traveling to St. Thomas. A valid driver’s license is sufficient for entry. However, if you plan to visit the British Virgin Islands during your stay, a valid passport will be required.
Does The Mary Anne offer airport transfers?
The Mary Anne does not provide airport transfers, but taxis are readily available outside the airport. For larger groups, private transfers can be arranged in advance for an additional fee.
Can we have our ceremony at Blackbeard's Castle?
Yes! Blackbeard’s Castle is right next door to The Mary Anne and is one of the most iconic ceremony locations in St. Thomas. Our wedding coordinator can arrange your ceremony there as part of any package.
What is the best time of year for a St. Thomas wedding?
St. Thomas is a year-round destination with average temperatures between 77-85°F. The dry season (December through April) is the most popular for weddings, but the shoulder months of May, June, and November offer beautiful weather with fewer crowds and better rates.
Can cruise ship passengers have a wedding at The Mary Anne?
Absolutely. Our Anchored in Love package is designed specifically for couples arriving by cruise ship. We handle transportation from the port, provide a day-use room for preparations, and coordinate everything so you’re back on board with time to spare.
How much does it cost to get married at The Mary Anne?
Our packages start at $1,495 for the Just Us Elopement, which covers the ceremony, officiant, florals, champagne toast, cake, and an hour of professional photography for the couple. Our cruise guest package starts at $1,995, and packages that include a stay on property start at $2,795. All packages are subject to an 18% service fee, and the USVI marriage license is $200 paid directly to the territory.
