The Mary Anne Boutique Hotel - St. Thomas USVI

The St. Thomas Stopover

The night between the plane and the boat.

One easy night in historic Charlotte Amalie before St. John, the BVI or your charter. Six rooms on Blackbeard’s Hill, a rooftop pool, and the harbor below.

Why stop here

One good night before the next part of the trip.

St. Thomas is where most Virgin Islands trips begin. The flights land here, the ferries to St. John and the British Virgin Islands leave from here, and most charters start a short ride from our door.

The Mary Anne is a six-room boutique hotel in the historic heart of Charlotte Amalie. Close enough to the airport and the water to make the next morning easy. Quiet enough that the first night already feels like the trip.

Where you're headed next

Every next stop starts close by.

St. John

The Red Hook ferry crosses to Cruz Bay in 15 to 20 minutes and runs roughly hourly. Red Hook is about 40 minutes from us by taxi. From November through May, a slower ferry also leaves from downtown Charlotte Amalie.

The British Virgin Islands

Ferries to Road Town, Tortola, leave from the Charlotte Amalie waterfront terminal, a few minutes from the hotel. The crossing is about an hour. Bring your passport, since you clear customs on both sides.

Your charter

Yacht Haven Grande and Crown Bay are a short taxi ride away, and Red Hook serves East End charters. Arrive the night before and step on board rested instead of rushing from the airport.
