From the airport
Cyril E. King Airport (STT) sits 2.6 miles west of us, roughly 15 minutes by taxi depending on how traffic is moving through town.
Taxi fares in the Virgin Islands are set by the VI Taxicab Commission and posted at the airport, so there is no meter and nothing to negotiate. On the current published tariff, expect an estimated $12 travelling on your own, or about $11 per person for two or more, plus roughly $3 to $6 per bag depending on size.

Getting your driver to the door
Our address is 1003 Blackbeard’s Hill, Charlotte Amalie. The easiest way to arrive is to show your driver our pin on Google Maps, which leads straight to our gate.
Blackbeard’s Castle sits at the top of our hill, and every driver on St. Thomas knows it, so it is a useful landmark to mention. Ask for The Mary Anne on Blackbeard’s Hill, just below the castle, rather than for the castle itself. Our entrance is around the hill from the castle grounds.
Arriving by cruise ship
Ships berth at Havensight or Crown Bay, both a short taxi ride from the historic district. From the waterfront the 99 Steps climb the hill to our door, which is the pretty way up and takes a few minutes.
With luggage, or in the heat of the afternoon, take the taxi all the way rather than the stairs.

A day on St. John
St. John is the easiest day trip from here, and there are two ways across.
Fastest
From Red Hook
A 15 to 20 minute crossing to Cruz Bay, running roughly hourly from early morning until late evening, all year. Red Hook is about 40 minutes from us by taxi across the island.
No cross-island drive
From Charlotte Amalie
About 45 minutes, leaving from the Edward Wilmoth Blyden Marine Terminal down in town. This route is seasonal, generally November through May, with a few departures a day.
Adult fares run roughly $8 to $13 each way depending on the route and operator, plus a few dollars per bag. Schedules and fares change, so check before you travel.
